Leawood, Kan. – May 15, 2019 – Rezoning has been approved for a client of Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes, allowing for the construction of a new four-story apartment complex in southern Olathe. Aaron March obtained approval on behalf of the developer, Saddlewood Associates, LLC.
The 444-unit complex, Saddlewood Apartments, is planned for the intersection of 153rd and Brentwood streets. The developer made several revisions to the preliminary site plan to address concerns from neighboring residents. Once this hurdle was cleared, the Olathe Planning Commission approved the project and the full Olathe City Council unanimously pushed it through this month.
This development is an expansion of the original Saddlewood Apartments first approved in 1998. The new owners plan to build four apartment buildings on the nearly 19 remaining acres, 824 parking spaces, walking trails, a neighborhood dog park and green areas.
