Leawood, Kan. – November 26, 2024: Five years of hard work by Aaron March, Greg Musil, Kim Spies, and John (Nip) Weisenfels, shareholders with Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes, P.C., led to the recent opening of phase one of the $125 million, 420,000 square-foot AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk in Overland Park.
Aaron March, Greg Musil and Kim Spies helped secure the necessary land use approvals, the issuance of $49 million in STAR bond financing as well as Community Improvement District financing (CID) and Transportation Improvement District financing (TDD) that supported the first phase of the facility for Bluhawk entities related to Price Brothers Development Company.
The firm’s attorneys have also helped Price Brothers add more than 50,000 square feet in leases at Bluhawk, a $400 million, 277-acre, mixed-use project at the southwest corner of U.S. 69 Highway and 159th Street.
The sports complex’s first phase includes an ice rink, four basketball courts (convertible to eight volleyball or pickleball courts), a 40,000 square foot turf field, locker rooms, an e-sports center, family entertainment center, training area, sprinting track, café, sports medicine center, and more.
