White Goss leads SEMINAR on Border Wars AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVES IN MISSOURI AND KANSAS

White Goss attorneys Michael T. White, Aaron March, Kimberly Spies, Brian Engel and, Ferd Niemann recently led the seminar “BORDER WARS” touching on the economic development incentives used by Missouri and Kansas to incent development in each state. The seminar was co-sponsored by the Missouri Bar and UMKC School of Law CLE Program. Missouri State Senator Jason Holsman was a guest speaker. in addition to the history and hopeful resolution of the Border Wars, the following Missouri and Kansas Incentive Programs were discussed:

• Tax Increment Financing
• Planned Industrial Expansion Authority
• Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority
• Sales Tax and Real Property Tax Exemption
• Industrial Development Bonds, Municipal Leases
• Community Improvement Districts and Transportation Development Districts
