Christopher Kurtz Elected Member of the Firm

Litigator Chris Kurtz has been elected a member of Douthit Frets, the firm announced. Kurtz’s practice spans business litigation, construction law, general civil litigation, employment disputes and medical and professional malpractice.

Kurtz has practiced at the firm since January 2011.   Before joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marco Roldan in the Jackson County (Mo.) Circuit Court, where he worked on civil, criminal, domestic and juvenile cases.

Kurtz earned his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. He is active with the Johnson County (Kan) Bar and the Leawood (Kan.) Chamber of Commerce. He has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers.  He was recently added to the American Arbitration Association’s panel of arbitrators.
