Chris Kurtz with Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes appointed to Leawood Chamber of Commerce leadership positions

Leawood, Kan. – February 18, 2019 Christopher Kurtz, shareholder with Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes, was recently elected to the Leawood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and chosen as Chairman of the Chamber’s Young Professionals Committee.

As a member of the Leawood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Chris will serve a two-year term, assisting with the development of policies, procedures and regulations, with a focus on membership recruitment and retention.

As Chairman of the Chamber’s Young Professionals Committee, Chris will serve a one-year term, identifying new events for the members and coordinating better integration into and connections with the full Chamber of Commerce. Chris has been a member of the Young Professionals Committee since 2016.

The mission of the Leawood Chamber of Commerce is to provide members with a meaningful voice in the community and assist them with opportunities to enjoy business success.

About Christopher Kurtz:

Chris earned his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. Chris joined Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes in 2011 and was named shareholder in 2017.

At the firm, Chris focuses his practice on business litigation, construction law, general civil litigation, labor and employment, and medical malpractice defense, representing clients in state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas and in arbitration. Chris was recently tapped for a three-year term as trustee of the Johnson County (Kan.) Bar Foundation and was chosen at a young age to be on the American Arbitration Association’s panel of arbitrators for consumer disputes. He is a 2018 Benchmark Litigation 40 & Under Hot List recipient, and was selected as a Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2017 and 2018.
