Kansas City, Mo. – December 4, 2025: Bill Moore and Fred Crouch, attorneys with Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes, P.C., recently helped their client, the Friends of Englewood Theater, purchase the Englewood Theater in Independence. With the keys in hand, the Friends of Englewood Theater can begin their plans to renovate and repurpose the long-closed historic landmark.
In addition to performing real estate work to purchase the theater, Bill and Fred also assisted their client secure an option to purchase the adjacent Ben Franklin retail space.
About Bill Moore: Bill has over 40 years of experience practicing law in both the private and public sector, including over 15 years as the City Counselor for the City of Independence. His practice concentrates on local government law and real estate development, including zoning, land use, and economic incentives. Bill serves as special counsel for many political subdivisions utilizing development tools such as tax increment financing, tax abatement, and the creation of special purpose districts such as transportation development districts and community improvement districts. Bill also represents property owners and developers on real estate development matters.
