Rouse Frets White Goss Helps Friends of JCDS Create Affordable Housing for People with Disabilities

Leawood, Kan. – December 23, 2024: Melissa Vancrum and Greg Musil, attorneys with Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes, P.C., provided pro bono assistance and other legal work to Friends of JCDS to further the mission of Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) to provide affordable housing for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The law firm helped Friends of JCDS secure a rezoning approval from the City of Overland Park to allow for a secondary unit in the basement of one single-family home the organization had purchased, and a certificate of conformity to allow for conversion of another basement unit in another single-family home that was already zoned for two-family use. The firm is also helping Friends of JCDS evaluate other projects that would add additional housing in the county.

Choice of an attorney is an important decision and should not be based solely upon a website or advertisements. In reviewing achievements by the law firm or its attorneys, remember that past results afford no guarantee of future results; each matter is different and must be judged on its own merits.
