Leawood, Kansas – December 23, 2019 – Doug Gentile, attorney with Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes, was chosen for the Missouri Lawyers Weekly Legal Champion award.

The Legal Champion award is given by MLW to plaintiffs’ or defense lawyers and is based on the importance of the principle or policy at stake behind cases and verdicts. Doug was selected for devoting a distinguished legal career to fighting for safer, stronger and state of the art child car seats.

The Missouri Lawyers Awards recognize lawyers who made an impact in the year just completed, including winners of top verdicts, influential appellate advocates, legal champions, law firm leaders and the Lawyer of the Year.  An awards luncheon will take place on January 24 in St. Louis, and the winners will be profiled in a special section of Missouri Lawyers Weekly. Visit Missouri Lawyers Weekly for more information.

About Doug Gentile:

Douglas Gentile is a seasoned trial lawyer representing families and individuals who have suffered catastrophic loss or injury due to defective products.

Doug’s life work includes representing dozens of children who sustained catastrophic brain or spinal cord injuries due to alleged defective or non-performing child car seats. He also works with clients who have suffered life-altering losses because of vehicle occupant protection systems that, instead of preventing injuries, actually caused them.

Doug is a frequent speaker at national seminars on issues surrounding child safety and has authored papers on the subject of child seat crashworthiness. In 2018, he was chosen to sit on the Safe Kids Worldwide panel of nationally recognized experts and, as the only trial attorney on the Children in Autonomous Vehicles Blue Ribbon Panel, he helped create the first-ever set of recommendations for the safety of children in autonomous vehicles. Doug is currently one of only four advisors to two working groups that are part of the Safe Kids International Consortium on Protecting Children in Autonomous Vehicles.

Choice of an attorney is an important decision and should not be based solely upon a website or advertisements. In reviewing achievements by the law firm or its attorneys, remember that past results afford no guarantee of future results; every matter is different and must be judged on its own merits. And, although our lawyers may practice in subject areas, neither the Supreme Court of Missouri nor The Missouri Bar reviews or approves certifying organizations or specialty designations for Missouri licensed attorneys.
