Greg Musil to Serve as JCCC Board Chairman

Greg Musil will serve as the chairman of the Board of Trustees for Johnson County (Kan.) Community College during 2017.

Musil first was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2011; he was re-elected to a second four-year term in 2015. He previously served as chair in 2013 and vice chair in 2014 and 2015.

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance of Johnson County Community College, a comprehensive community college with approximately 20,000 credit students and 15,000 continuing education students. The trustees’ duties include selecting the college president, establishing the annual budget and tax levy, approving the curriculum and creating rules and regulations for operation. Trustees are unpaid and elected to four-year terms in a non-partisan, county-wide election.

Musil’s practice includes commercial litigation, land use and zoning, and real estate; he has been named among The Best Lawyers in America since 2005 in these disciplines.
