Leawood, Kan. – August 3, 2026: Chris DeLuca and Ron Holt recently shared their knowledge of higher education law with school owners and administrators at the Financial Aid Services (FAS) Genesis Spring Seminar in San Diego.
Chris conducted a legal workshop on some of the challenging issues facing schools and school owners, including: lease agreements; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974; the Federal Trade Commission Safeguards Rule; and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.
Ron led a session titled: “Are Your Programs Big, Beautiful & Accountable? Meeting the New Eligibility Requirements Under the Forthcoming OBBB Regulations.” He shared the latest information on expected new regulations under the One Big Beautiful Bill and outlined the likely standards that educational programs will need to meet in order to retain eligibility for federal student loans and grants.
Chris and Ron are both frequent speakers at national and regional higher education conferences and have decades of experience representing institutions of higher learning in regulatory matters, business transactions and disputes, including program reviews and administrative proceedings.
