Leawood, Kan. – March 10, 2026: Greg Musil has been named 2026 Johnson Countian of the Year by the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) Foundation volunteer committee, recognizing his legal and public service career and influential work in shaping the growth of the county.
Greg has practiced law in Johnson County for nearly four decades and during that time, he served 12 years on the JCCC Board of Trustees and has been a JCCC Foundation Board Member for more than three decades. He also served eight years on the Overland Park City Council, including two terms as president.
In addition to his public service, Greg has played a key role in transforming county development as an attorney focusing on land use, zoning, real estate development, and commercial litigation.
“Greg Musil is truly one of a kind. Throughout his years as a JCCC Trustee and beyond, he has consistently shown up for our students,” said Joy Ginsburg, Executive Director of the JCCC Foundation. “His humor, his heart, and his deep pride in this community shine through in everything he does.”
Greg will be recognized at the JCCC Foundation’s 40th annual fundraising gala, Some Enchanted Evening, on Saturday, November 14.
