After earning her Bachelors of Arts degree from Louisiana State University in 1979 in International Trade and Finance, Mary received her Juris Doctorate degree from Louisiana State University Law Center in 1982, where she graduated Order of the Coif (top 10%). She was admitted to practice in Louisiana in 1982 and practiced there in the litigation arena until 1989. She moved to the Kansas City, Missouri, area in 1989 and was admitted to practice in Missouri in 1990. Mary became a member of the Firm in January 2008.
Mary has litigation experience in a broad spectrum of cases in state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas. She has successfully defended medical malpractice claims against physicians and hospitals. She also has experience in employment matters, including litigation for claims of harassment and discrimination, preparing and negotiating severance agreements, and preparation of policy and procedure manuals. She also has experience in a variety of general civil litigation matters.
