John received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas graduating with History Departmental Honors in 2004. John graduated Cum Laude from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2007. While in law school, John was an Articles & Symposia Editor for the UMKC Law Review, a staff member on The Urban Lawyer, a member of both the UMKC and ABA National Moot Court teams, served as a research assistant to Professor Robert Klonoff, and received numerous awards for academic excellence.
John joined the Firm in 2007. Since joining the Firm, John has obtained litigation and trial experience in state and federal courts throughout Missouri and Kansas. John has successfully tried multiple cases to verdict. John has also prepared numerous appeal briefs and successfully argued appeals in the Missouri Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. John has extensive experience in medical malpractice cases defending hospitals, physicians, and nurses from claims of medical negligence. John also has experience in commercial litigation, general civil litigation, and appellate work.
John lives in Overland Park, Kansas with his wife and four children.
