Incentives Provide Long Awaited Infrastructure to First & Second Creek Watersheds

After more than 40 years of waiting for a promise to be fulfilled, on September 8, 2011 the Kansas City, Missouri City Council authorized over $45 million in funding through the KCI Corridor TIF plan to construct long awaited and sorely needed infrastructure improvements in the First and Second Creek Watersheds which are located east of I-29, south of I-435, west of 169 Highway and north of 152 Highway in Kansas City, Missouri.   The construction of a new pump station and sewers will open up over 15,000 acres for development.  Jim Bowers and Patricia Jensen were instrumental in securing the approval of these incentives.
