Experience

Travis is a real estate, corporate, and business attorney with two decades of experience representing clients in real estate transactions, the purchase and sale of businesses, and corporate formation and governance. He is also a licensed real estate broker.

His real estate practice involves purchasing, selling, leasing, and developing commercial, industrial, retail, and office properties. His experience representing local governments and administrative bodies gives him insight into construction and special use permitting, zoning, and platting — helping developers and contractors navigate land use approval.

On the business side, Travis represents clients buying and selling businesses through asset, stock, and equity sales. He guides clients forming new companies, drafting operating agreements, bylaws, shareholder agreements, and company policies to suit their goals. He is also well versed in banking and secured lending, frequently representing both borrowers and lenders in secured lending transactions involving real estate, corporate, and M&A transactions.

Travis’s transactional practice benefits from his extensive background in complex business litigation, arbitration, and as outside general counsel, which has sharpened his eye for risk and liability issues, resulting in stronger agreements and more comprehensive business advice.
