Experience
Understanding the operations of businesses, Steve Willman is able to render valuable representation to business entities and assist their principals in their business and personal planning. Steve represents business clients in their formation, day to day legal issues and exit strategies. This includes drafting of contracts, negotiating business transactions, and providing sound business advice for the benefit of clients. Steve acts as outside legal counsel to a number of businesses, their management, and owners.
Steve has represented clients in numerous complex legal matters including mergers and acquisition transactions. In assisting clients in such matters, Steve and the Rouse Frets attorneys combine legal knowledge, hard work, and practical thinking to accomplish client objectives in an efficient and effective manner. Steve has assisted clients in the purchase and disposition of businesses having an aggregate consideration approaching a billion dollars.
Steve has developed particular expertise in the renewable energy industry. Steve and the Rouse Frets team have represented clients in all aspects of the development of wind and solar energy projects including real estate matters, environmental and land use permitting, contract negotiation and drafting, coordination of development activities with other land surface owners and users, and all other legal services related to renewable energy project development. Steve has also been engaged in the purchase and sale of numerous renewable energy projects including asset and entity level purchases and sales.
