John represents for profit and nonprofit clients in all of their transactional needs, including mergers and acquisitions, joint venture initiatives, real estate matters, and domestic and international contracts with private and governmental parties.
Having previously worked both in private practice at an Am Law 100 firm and in-house at a globally recognized nonprofit corporation, John pairs legal expertise with practical business counseling and advice to ensure clients not only achieve their goals, but achieve them timely and affordably.
John’s clients span a wide array of industries including substantial work for educational assessment and technology companies, renewable energy developers, international architecture and engineering companies, food manufacturers, national nonprofit hospital systems, and private equity funds.
John represents clients in international initiatives (including mergers and acquisitions, distributorships, intellectual property licensing agreements, and direct sales and marketing arrangements), having successfully assisted with matters in Austria, the Bahamas, Brazil, Canada, China, Honduras, Korea, Mexico, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Thailand, among others.
John also has significant experience assisting clients with IT and vendor transactions, including negotiation and coordination of vendor engagements for online platform services in hosted and cloud environments, other software as a service offerings, open source software service procurement, as well as master service and consulting service agreements.
John also regularly assists clients with federal, state and local government contracting efforts, including service contracts, novation, and responses to government RFPs.
